In 2007, architect and urban planner Reinhard Müller founded EUREF AG with the intention of developing the site of the old Schöneberg gasworks into a visionary place for the future of energy transition.

Since then, the EUREF campus has become a center for innovation and communication in the energy industry that is unique in Europe. Since 2014, it has already been meeting the German government’s CO2 climate protection targets for the year 2045.

Special Program for Berlin Schools

How does a climate-friendly city work? What is the significance of topics such as waste, energy, mobility and water? How have professions changed over the years? How can we incorporate climate protection and sustainability into our own actions and everyday lives? As part of the educational program “KlimaMacher” (climate makers), we offer free one-hour tours of the EUREF campus for primary and secondary school classes in Berlin on behalf of GASAG AG.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring with me when I visit the EUREF-Campus?

Since tours and programs take place either entirely or partially outdoors, please always pay attention to the weather conditions and dress accordingly – especially in fall and winter. An umbrella is a good accessory in every season, as are sturdy shoes.

How do I get to EUREF-Campus?

The EUREF-Campus is well connected to Berlin’s public transportation system. The nearest S-Bahn station is Schöneberg, where both the S1 and the Ringbahn stop. It is also only a short walk from the Südkreuz long-distance train station. The only access by car is from the direction of Sachsendamm via Torgauer Straße.

Is parking available on site?

There are two public parking garages (subject to a fee). Your electric car can also be conveniently charged here while you park. There is no parking for buses on the premises.

Can I store large items of luggage during my visit?

There is no storage available for suitcases or other luggage on the EUREF campus for the duration of your visit. Lockers are available for small backpacks and bags.

Can I take photos on the premises?

In principle, you are allowed to take pictures of private photos or use photos for social media. If you take official photos or videos for your company or for commercial purposes, you must obtain official permission to film from EUREF AG. Please use the designated form for this.

Can I eat with a group at EUREF-Campus?

There are several restaurants on the EUREF-Campus where you can eat with a group. Reservations are recommended. You can find the selection, including contacts and opening times, here.

Are public tours of the EUREF-Campus offered for individuals?

Currently we only offer group tours and programs. This year, there are again dates for public tours to the Gasometer SKY. The dates can be found under the offer Gasometer Sky Guided Tours. Ticket sales begin 14 days before each date. You can also sign up for the newsletter to be informed about other events: EUREF-Campus Newsletter.

Why are the tours limited to 15 people?

The EUREF campus is a place where around 7,000 people work on many exciting projects. To ensure that we do not impair the quality of this work by lectures that are too loud for groups that are too large, we limit our groups to a maximum of 15 people. Furthermore, with a larger number of people, it is more difficult for the guests to follow all the guides‘ contributions.

Are guided tours offered in languages other than German?

All our services on the EUREF campus are offered in German and English.

Are the tours barrier-free?

The EUREF-Campus is basically barrier-free, although some of the historic cobblestones have yet to be laid. If you are interested in a program with indoor visits, we will be happy to provide you with individual information.

Is there a possibility of a discount or a free tour?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer free or discounted tours.
